What specifications would a ‘decent’ desktop computer need to run smoothly?
By ‘decent’, I mean a computer that would be required to run word processing, heavy Internet browsing and the occasional Sims 3 marathon. We’re not serious gamers, and would rather run XP than Vista.
I’m looking at a Benq i91 PC with:
AMD Sempron™ 210U Processor: 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB and the Windows® XP Home Edition operating system.

The “heavy” is running Sims3.
The rest can be done with even an ancient Intel P133 with Win98SE.
So I would go to the Sim3 site and get the spec’s for the sales associate, or if your at a Best Buy grab the game and give it to them and tell them you want to run it.
They will get you a basic system that can run it.
