Moniter lights up but the screen is white?
I have a BenQ 17 "LCD moniter. Normally, when you turn white, then color changes. On the screen that says click here to record color. This morning I turned on and all it does is still white. Their are no words in the moniter. Hung moniter working on several other teams and I know the moniter is the problem. I called the computer shop and they told me I should buy a new moniter. And that do not work moniters and the cost of repairing the moniter would be more than buying a new moniter. Does anyone know what could be wrong and is a part of them could replace the place buying a new moniter? I have no warranty.
Amonitor is a FRU – Replaceable Unit .. This means that if you screw up, throw it out. Not anything can fix and that would be covered much more in a repair shop, though he tried to work there. I think it would be trying to change the VGA-DVI cable or vice versa depending on how you now if you can try another monitor on your computer to see if it's not your computer or video card. If all else fails, start looking for a new monitor .. I suggest LG.
