My mp3 player seems to be shorted, suggestions?
Mp3 player (A BenQ Joybee P205) was washed in the washing machine accident the other day. If I connect to my computer's USB port, it works fine as I am able to move files, yet everything has been there. You can even recharge the battery. However, when I disconnect, I can not turn it on. I think I may have a short circuit. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Is it repairable? I can not get free mp3 and was about four days. Other suggestions?
Immediately remove the battery to avoid mixing with water. This creates short-circuits (only the combination of water + battery = short circuit!). Get rid of fear of dismantling used a screwdriver to remove it, clean it with alcohol and let dry the parts before assembly. Wait at least 2-3 days before testing again. Hope it helps! I hate to say this, but if you can not open, you must replace any player or get a new battery and have a professional look to and is as clean and dry. Avoid using the player at all until it is fixed. If you have music files on your player elsewhere, such as a CD or on your computer, and if a professional look, there will be more expensive than buying a new MP3 player, you should consider a new one.
